Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming for clients’ pets in a welcoming salon. You will showcase grooming skills, maintain high safety standards, and provide personalized care.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the Grooming Salon Leader and offers growth paths within the grooming team. The ideal candidate has formal grooming training or a Petco apprenticeship, strong communication, and a genuine passion for animals.

Qualifications

• Completed Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and animal-handling skills for grooming clients.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality grooming.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments: clippers, blades, brushes, dryers.
• Prioritize animal well-being and safety; monitor for signs of discomfort or illness.
• Educate pet parents on at-home care and recommended products.
