Petco is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for diverse breeds in a busy grooming salon. You will bathe, dry, brush, cut and style coats while ensuring pets are comfortable and safe.

The role emphasizes customer service, product knowledge, and adherence to Petco grooming standards. Applicants should complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or have equivalent grooming training, with a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and animal handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, brushes and dryers.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort and report concerns to owners and management.
• Evaluate coat type and temperament to tailor grooming approaches.
• Interact with pet parents, offer grooming recommendations and address questions.
