Job summary

KLN Family Brands/Tuffy’s Pet Foods in Perham, MN is seeking an R&D Formulation Intern for the summer of 2027. You’ll work closely with our Pet Food Scientists and formulation team to gain hands-on experience in product development.

This internship requires a current college junior in Animal Science, Chemistry, or Biology, with a 10-12 week commitment, on-site work, and a willingness to learn and contribute to fast-growing brands.

Qualifications

• At least a Junior in college pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• The ability to dedicate 10-12 weeks to the internship program for Summer 2027.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work on-site at our Perham, MN facility for the summer.

Responsibilities

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the entire production cycle for our pet food products.
• Support the R&D and formulation team with day-to-day responsibilities, including product research, development, and formulation.
