Job summary

KLN Family Brands/Tuffy’s Pet Foods seeks an Operations Management Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Perham, MN facility. You will work closely with the Production Manager and operations team to learn manufacturing processes and contribute to efficiency initiatives.

You’ll gain experience in analyzing production lines, proposing workflow layouts, and measuring KPI progress while developing teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Junior in college pursuing a degree in Operations Management or related field.
• Willingness to commit 10-12 weeks for the summer internship.
• On-site work at Perham, MN facility required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in the production area from start to finish.
• Support 2027 strategic initiatives with projects that identify bottlenecks and layout improvements.
• Evaluate Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to find improvements.
