Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to support the El Paso Gateway Cancer Center. The role may be Level 1, 2, or Sr depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include PET imaging procedures, QA, scheduling, and coordination with Medical Director and management. The position offers generous benefits and opportunities for LTIP participation for select roles.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA accredited program.
• PET-CT certification required.
• CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
• Level 2 requires five years in nuclear medicine including at least two years PET experience.
• Level Sr requires Bachelor’s degree and minimum four years nuclear medical PET experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals, patient positioning, and image acquisition.
• Assists in scheduling and front office tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensures accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution, and charting.
• Collects clinical data for follow-up and develops teaching materials.
• Maintains safety standards and conducts daily QA on PET scanner; reports malfunctions.
