Job summary

The role requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program, plus CNMT or PET certification and ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, along with BLS.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
  • CNMT or PET certification by NMTCB or ARRT.
  • Advanced certification in Computed Tomography with ARRT or NMTCB.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Operate imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes, including PET-CT to provide 2D/3D images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians to ensure safe, accurate image acquisition and data for diagnosis and treatment.

Education

Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program
CNMT or PET certification (NMTCB/ARRT)
Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT/NMTCB)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients and operating imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes. Utilizes PET-CT technology to combine nuclear medicine and computed tomography to provide detailed 2D and 3D images. Administers contrast and performs diagnostic imaging in both the PET and CT modalities. Works closely with physicians, particularly radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, to ensure the safe and accurate acquisition of images and data needed for diagnosing and treating diseases.

Qualifications
  • 1. Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2. CNMT or PET certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification BoardOR Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • 3. Advanced certification in Computed Tomography with ARRT or NMTCB.
  • 4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
