Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support two outpatient PET/CT centers. This role involves contrast administration, EMR documentation, physician order review, direct patient care, and image quality review to assist radiologists in accurate diagnoses.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiologic Technology program and appropriate certifications (CNMT/PET or ARRT).

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
• CNMT or PET certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
• ARRT registration as Nuclear Medicine Technologist (or ARRT NMTCB).
• Advanced CT certification (ARRT or NMTCB).
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsible for providing support to two outpatient mobile PET/CT centers. Duties to include:

• Contrast Administration
• EMR Documentation
• Physician Order Review/ Patient History
• Direct Patient Care
• Image Quality Review for Radiologist Interpretation

This individual would act as a liaison between Northside Hospital and PET/CT Mobile Staff to ensure the best patient care is provided. This individual will work closely with physicians, particularly radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, to ensure the safe and accurate acquisition of images and data needed for diagnosing and treating diseases.

Travel to both Northside locations will be required. (NS Macon PET/CT Imaging will be on a weekly basis while NS Village Center Imaging will be bi-weekly basis).

1. Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
2. CNMT or PET certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
3. OR Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
4. Advanced certification in Computed Tomography with ARRT or NMTCB.
5. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
