Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate PET-CT imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

The role involves utilizing PET-CT to produce detailed 2D and 3D images, and working closely with radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians to ensure safe and accurate data acquisition for diagnosis and treatment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
  • CNMT or PET certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board OR ARRT registration.
  • Advanced certification in Computed Tomography with ARRT or NMTCB.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and operate imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes.
  • Utilize PET-CT technology to combine nuclear medicine and computed tomography to provide detailed 2D and 3D images.
  • Work closely with physicians, particularly radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, to ensure safe and accurate acquisition of images and data for diagnosing and treating diseases.

Education

Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology program
CNMT or PET certification OR ARRT registration

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients and operating imaging equipment for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic purposes. Utilizes PET-CT technology to combine nuclear medicine and computed tomography to provide detailed 2D and 3D images. Administers contrast and performs diagnostic imaging in both the PET and CT modalities. Works closely with physicians, particularly radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians, to ensure the safe and accurate acquisition of images and data needed for diagnosing and treating diseases.

Qualifications
  • 1. Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology and/or Radiologic Technology program.
  • 2. CNMT or PET certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification BoardOR Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • 3. Advanced certification in Computed Tomography with ARRT or NMTCB.
  • 4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
