Job summary

Sentara is seeking a PET/CT technologist to perform PET/CT imaging under physician direction in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities include patient positioning, radiopharmaceutical handling, IV management, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications include ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade certificate and ARRT (CT) with CT registry within 2 years of hire. Equally important are patient education, safety, and adherence to QA standards.

Qualifications

• Competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Explain examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient.
• Comply with radioactive activity monitoring and documentation.
• IV competency required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
• Operate radiation producing equipment and radiology systems.
• Prepare patient room/equipment and maintain supplies.
• Educate patients and families and document examinations.
