Sentara is seeking a PET/CT technologist to perform PET/CT imaging under physician direction in Norfolk, VA. Responsibilities include patient positioning, radiopharmaceutical handling, IV management, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications include ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade certificate and ARRT (CT) with CT registry within 2 years of hire. Equally important are patient education, safety, and adherence to QA standards.

• Explain examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient.
• Comply with radioactive activity monitoring and documentation.
• IV competency required.

Competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, radioisotopes, IV and oral CT contrast, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provides patient and family education and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation. Comply with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies. The base pay range for full-time employment is $47.70 - $70.52 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
