Job summary

Sentara Health Plans seeks a PET/CT Technologist to perform PET/CT imaging under physician direction, including patient positioning, dose management, and radiopharmaceutical administration. The role requires ARRT CT certification with registry within 2 years and an ALD Radiologic Sciences or trade school certificate.

On-site position in Norfolk, VA starting First (Days) shift. You will ensure high-quality imaging, accurate documentation, and patient education while complying with all regulatory

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT imaging under physician supervision

Competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, radioisotopes, IV and oral CT contrast, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provides patient and family education and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation. Comply with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. Performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies.
