Responsibilities
- Prepare the treatment room for examination and gather necessary medical items and supplies.
- Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and regulations.
- Assist the veterinary team and restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
- Prepare in-house laboratory tests (e.g., canine heartworm, FELV, FIV, parvovirus) as permitted by state rules.
- Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients and ensure their well‑being.
- Maintain hospital cleanliness and proper sanitation throughout the facility.
