Job summary

Sunland Acres is seeking a motivated Kennel Technician / Front Desk / Shift Lead to join our growing team in a dual-role position that combines hands-on animal care, front desk client service, and daily operational responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with live animals, has strong computer and communication skills, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Prior shift lead or supervisory experience is highly preferred, with weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with dogs or other live animals.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
• Strong computer proficiency including Outlook, Google Docs, and Word.
• Previous shift lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Customer service, reception, or front desk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Kennel care including feeding, cleaning, sanitizing, and monitoring health.
• Front desk: greet clients, check-in/out, answer calls, schedule.
• Administrative tasks using Gingr, Google Docs, and Word; maintain records.
• Shift leadership: prioritize tasks, coordinate daily work, ensure procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe facility and communicate concerns to management.
