Job summary

Destination Pet LLC seeks a Lead Animal Care Attendant to guide daily kennel care, supervise team members, and ensure the highest standards of safety and animal well-being. You’ll manage feeding, hydration, and routine med administration while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Occasional CPR training and cross-training for front desk duties are included; evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Passion for animal well-being and safety.
• Experience in animal care or related role preferred.
• Ability to manage meds and basic first-aid procedures.
• Strong leadership to guide teammates during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pack during assigned shifts, setting the tone for care.
• Work with Animal Care Attendants to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Train new hires on handling pets and safety protocols.
• Monitor guests for health issues and report to managers.
• Provide food, water and daily TLC to all pets.
• Oversee meds and special needs guests; CPR trained a plus.
• Bath and brush VIPs to keep grooming standards.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming kennel environment.
