Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Key Holder to help lead daily store operations in a fast-paced Pet Care Center environment.

You’ll supervise partners, open and close the store, and serve as the on-floor contact when management isn’t present, ensuring a consistently great customer experience. You’ll open and close the store, support sales and tasks, and execute merchandising standards while maintaining safety and high service levels for pets and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience required.
• Key holder or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and experience handling cash.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store following cash handling, safety, and security protocols.
• Supervise store partners and provide guidance on shifts.
• Lead on the sales floor and deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to customers.
• Process transactions, refunds, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
• Escalate concerns to store leadership when needed.
• Support merchandising, inventory, and daily store operations.
