Job summary

Petsense in Cottonwood, AZ is seeking a Team Member who delivers legendary customer service while supporting selling initiatives. You will work flexible hours, operate the cash register, assist customers with loading purchases, and help maintain live animal areas with care and safety.

Experience is not required, but retail or pet knowledge is preferred. Reading, writing and counting skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures as established by Tractor Supply/Petsense Company.
• Recovery of merchandise.
• Participate in freight process.
• Execute to completion Plan-o-gram procedures (merchandising, sets, and resets).
• Assemble merchandise.
• Perform janitorial duties.
• Execute price changes/markdowns.
• Assist customers with loading purchases.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of live animals. Sanitize and maintain holding tanks and care for live animals as required.
• Handle and care for all live animals including their food, bedding and habitat.
• Complete all documentation associated with any of the above job duties.
