Job summary

Petsense is seeking a Team Member to engage customers, support selling initiatives, and perform diverse tasks with a focus on legendary service. You will operate the cash register, assist with merchandise, and help maintain animal care areas, ensuring a safe, friendly shopping experience.

Ideal candidates may have retail or pet knowledge and can work varied hours. No heavy experience required; reading, writing and counting skills are essential for documentation and transactions.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required. Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. Regardless of education level, Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers and team members to deliver legendary customer service.
• Operate cash register and follow cash handling procedures.
• Assist with stocking, merchandising, and price changes.
• Support selling initiatives and provide product recommendations.
• Care for live animals and maintain their holding areas.
• Complete all required documentation for duties.
