Job summary

GoodVets is expanding its Patient and Customer Care team in Surprise, AZ, offering a role that blends client services with patient care support. You will help ensure seamless client experiences while backing our clinical team in delivering veterinary care.

This position requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to handle busy, high-pressure moments with a positive, team-first attitude. Training is provided, with emphasis on safety and infection-control practices.

Qualifications

• Availability to work evenings and weekends.
• One or more years' experience in a veterinary support role.
• Ability to provide patient care in emergency situations/high pressure.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Exposure to Veterinary Practice Management Systems in previous roles.
• Positive, team-first attitude and a passion for creating a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, empathetic, and professional customer care at every interaction.
• Greet clients, manage check-in/check-out, schedule appointments and follow-ups, and triage multi-line phone calls.
• Feed, walk, bathe, and observe hospitalized or boarding patients.
• Safely restrain pets for exams, treatments, imaging, and procedures.
• Collect and label diagnostic samples; assist technicians with surgery prep, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment; keep exam and treatment areas stocked and organized.
• Assist with medication dispensing and ensure precise patient documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized reception area, exam rooms, kennels, and treatment spaces while following infection-control protocols.
