Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to be the friendly face of our practice. You will greet clients and their pets, answer calls, schedule appointments and guide patients to exam rooms, while ensuring a warm, efficient experience.

You will present fees, process payments, recommend products and services, educate clients on basic pet care, and help manage medical records and correspondence.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, preferably in veterinary or healthcare settings.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to explain fees and process payments.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non‑medical pet care.
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring that the facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
