Job summary

Destination Pet LLC in Irving, Texas, seeks an Assistant Manager to help lead our Peachtree Pets team. You will oversee daily operations, ensure outstanding customer service, manage center staff, and help drive sales while maintaining payroll and compliance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of management experience in hospitality or retail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Associate or BS/BA is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Experience in hospitality, service or retail environments preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic databases.
• Ability to multi-task and manage staff and payroll.
• Excellent presentation, writing and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mission, culture and policies of Destination Pet.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and salesmanship.
• Collaborate with support staff across departments.
• Ensure cohesiveness of pet care services and cross training.
• Manage center staff; recruit, hire, train, coach and terminate as needed.
• Monitor payroll, schedules and labor compliance.
• Lead on-site operations in absence of General Manager.
• Promote and market programs in the community and ensure client communication.
