Job summary

Destination Pet LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a team at Uberdog. The role reports to the General Manager and includes responsibilities across operations, customer service, and staff development.

You will collaborate with support staff and ensure excellent pet-care services while maintaining facility standards and payroll controls. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of management experience in hospitality or retail, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year management experience in hospitality, service or retail environments.
• Must be a passionate team player and a strong motivator.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
• Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Exceptional customer service experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and salesmanship.
• Collaborates with support staff across departments on a regular basis.
• Ensures cohesiveness of pet care services and cross-training where necessary.
• Manages center staff; motivates, hires, trains, coaches, and terminates as needed.
• Ensures facility compliance with OSHA, EEOC, ADA and Fair Labor Practices.
• Schedules staff and manages payroll budget while maintaining service levels.
• Monitors pet guests for safety and comfort; handles customer complaints.
• Maintains inventory and reorders supplies; shops for miscellaneous items.
• Manages computer systems and on-site operations in manager's absence.
