This role emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and hands-on leadership on the store floor. You will drive sales, manage store performance, assist with hiring, training, and ensuring Pet Care Center standards while maintaining a welcoming environment for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with supervisory or management responsibility.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Passion for animals and knowledge of pet care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Petco animal care standards and ensure health and safety of all animals on site.
• Promote a safe, welcoming environment for pets, parents, and partners.
• Lead, motivate, and coach store partners; participate in hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Provide timely coaching, feedback, and recognition to strengthen performance and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, organized store reflecting Petco’s brand and values.
• Lead daily operations, drive sales and service, monitor metrics, and manage inventory.
