You will collaborate with the General Manager to drive sales, manage operations, and deliver a welcoming, high-performing environment for pets and people. This role requires flexibility for store hours and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Passion for animals and knowledge of pet care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Petco animal care standards and safety on premises.
• Lead store partners to deliver outstanding service.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of partners.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to strengthen performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized store reflecting Petco’s brand and values.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and promotions.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager.
