Petco in Reno, NV is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a high-performing Pet Care Center. You’ll lead store partners, drive sales, care for pets, and deliver exceptional customer experiences on the sales floor.

You are a trusted leader, capable of coaching and developing talent, while ensuring operational excellence, safety, and brand standards. Availability includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Lead store partners to deliver outstanding service and achieve sales goals.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development.
• Coach and provide feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized store reflecting Petco’s brand.
• Step in as acting leader in the General Manager’s absence.
• Manage daily operations, inventory, merchandising, and events.
