Job summary

Destination Pet, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our Canine Fitness and Fun Center team. The role reports to the General Manager and requires strong customer service, salesmanship, and staff leadership to ensure safe, high-quality pet care services.

You will schedule staff, train and coach team members, and collaborate with various departments to maintain compliance and exceptional guest experiences. The position is full-time with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year management experience, preferably in hospitality, service and/or retail.
• Excellent oral presentation, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
• Must have exceptional customer service experience and skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission, vision, culture and policies of Destination Pet; delivers exceptional customer service and salesmanship.
• Collaborates with Support Staff (Operations, HR, Marketing, Facilities, Legal, etc.).
• Manages center staff at the direction of the General Manager; motivates, recruits, hires, trains, promotes, coaches, and terminates as needed.
• Ensures facility compliance with federal and local labor laws (OSHA, EEOC, ADA, Fair Labor Practices).
• Schedules staff for work, balancing service with payroll budget; monitors needs of pet guests for safety and comfort.
• Promotes and markets Destination Pet’s programs and services in the community; maintains client communication.
• Provides on-site management in the General Manager’s absence and handles center maintenance and financial monitoring as needed.
• Promotes a positive, inclusive workplace and provides training and mentorship to team members.
