Job summary

Destination Pet is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our Creature Comforts team. You will support operations, drive sales, and maintain exceptional customer service while mentoring staff and ensuring compliance with labor and safety regulations.

The role requires at least 1 year of management experience in hospitality/service/retail, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Health benefits and 401K are among offered perks.

Qualifications

• Associate or BS/BA degree is a plus.
• Passionate team player and a strong motivator.
• Minimum of 1 year management experience in hospitality, service or retail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
• Able to multi-task with strong time management skills.
• Excellent oral writing, speaking and analytical skills.
• Veterinary, boarding and/or grooming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports Destination Pet's mission, vision, culture, and policies.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and salesmanship.
• Collaborates with support staff (Operations, HR, Marketing, Facilities, Legal).
• Manages center staff under the General Manager's direction.
• Ensures compliance with labor laws (OSHA, EEOC, ADA).
• Schedules staff and manages payroll budget.
• Oversees pet guests' safety, comfort and care, and handles complaints.
