You will handle adoption applications, conduct meet‑and‑greets, coordinate foster‑to‑adopt when applicable, and work with the medical team to ensure a smooth process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely and comfortably handle animals of all sizes, breeds, and species.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously with a culturally diverse staff and community.
• Affection and compassion for animals, concern for their welfare, and willingness to accommodate animals in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Adoption Experience & Customer Support: Serve as the first point of contact for individuals interested in adopting; Provide warm, nonjudgmental guidance; Build trust with adopters; Ensure adoption areas are welcoming and accessible.
• Community Engagement: Foster inclusivity; Educate the public about responsible pet ownership; Represent the shelter at events and adoption fairs.
• Adoption Coordination: Review applications; Match animals with homes; Conduct meet‑and‑greets; support foster‑to‑adopt arrangements.
