Job summary

Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, MN is seeking an Adoption Services Specialist to provide a welcoming visitor experience, assist with animal visitations, share breed and care information, and guide adopters through the process.

Qualifications

• Customer service, sales and animal handling experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and respond to animal inquiries and questions.
• Assist visitors with animal visitations and adoptions.
• Explain the adoption process and requirements to adopters.
• Complete adoptions, including paperwork and records in the system.
• Process transactions accurately and handle cash/credit payments.
• Maintain the merchandise area and keep it stocked and clean.
• Support housekeeping and sanitation in animal areas.
• Escalate visitor concerns or animal needs as needed.
