Qualifications

• Friendly disposition and professional demeanor.
• Ability to read English fluently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• At least 1 year of money handling experience.
• Experience working with animals.
• Ability to read animal behavior and identify common illnesses.
• Willingness to follow protocols, procedures, and adoption guidelines.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to use good judgment.
• Ability to work well with staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Greet Visitors and guide them through the adoption process.
• Answer calls, check messages, and respond to emails in the Adoption Department mailbox daily.
• Take photos of new animals and upload to Pet Point under animal records.
• Create kennel cards and place on kennels.
• Organize animal paperwork in appropriate binders.
• Weekly inventory checks of animals available for adoption.
• Clean kennel cards and manage adoption-related materials.
• Assist with donations and process donation receipts.
