Job summary

Nebraska Humane Society is seeking an Adoption Coordinator - Part Time to warmly guide prospective adopters through the pet adoption journey and ensure a respectful, inclusive experience for all visitors.

You will coordinate meet-and-greets, assist with foster-to-adopt arrangements, and partner with staff to maintain welcoming adoption areas while educating the public on responsible pet ownership and shelter policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to safely handle animals of various sizes and species.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse community.
• Compassion for animals and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first contact for adopters.
• Provide warm, informative guidance through adoption process.
• Build trust with adopters and match them with suitable pets.
• Ensure adoption areas are welcoming and accessible.
• Coordinate meet-and-greets and support foster-to-adopt arrangements.
• Collaborate with staff and medical team to ensure smooth process.
