Job summary

Ecolab seeks a Pest Control Technician Trainee in Houghton, MI. You’ll participate in a paid 5-week training program, learn pest detection and elimination, and build a long-term career in service, sales, or management. You’ll work Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm, with training in Eagan, MN for one week.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour during training, with potential licensing and certification opportunities. This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and a commitment to public health

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must obtain pest certification and/or business licensing as required by state/local law.
• Background check and drug test required for offers.
• Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques.
• Establish effective relationships with commercial customers.
• Partner with customers on best practices to address pest needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Ecolab’s product and service offerings.
• Use handheld equipment to document issues.
• Deliver service under close supervision and complete training.
