Job summary

Ecolab is hiring a Pest Control Technician Trainee in Charlottesville, VA. You will start with a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection and elimination techniques while supporting commercial customers.

The role operates on a Charlottesville route with night shifts and requires a valid driver's license, minimal experience, and the ability to obtain pest licensing. You’ll gain hands-on field experience, grow toward service, sales, or management, and be part of a team protecting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of work or military experience.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Pest certification and/or business licensing per state/local law.
• Background check conducted for offers.
• Drug test including THC required for offers.
• Immigration sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques.
• Establish relationships with commercial customers including hospitality and foodservice sectors.
• Partner with customers on best practices to identify pest elimination needs.
• Maintain expertise in Ecolab's product and service offerings to enhance service and sales.
• Use handheld equipment to document pest issues.
• Deliver timely, cost-effective, high-quality service under supervision.
• Obtain required pest control licensing/certification as mandated.
