Job summary

Aptive Environmental, LLC is seeking a hard-working Pest Control Technician to join our field team around Valparaiso, IN. This full-time role covers local routes with weekly reporting to our Merrillville/South Bend, IN office.

You will serve customers, maintain equipment, and follow safety protocols. We offer a competitive wage of $19.50–$23.50 per hour, uncapped bonuses, a company vehicle to take home, paid training, comprehensive benefits, a 401(k) with match, and paid holidays/time off.

Qualifications

• No experience required; Aptive Environmental provides training.
• Valid US driver’s license with minimum of 3 years of use.
• Clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than two in past four years).
• Drug test and background check required for all new hires.
• Ability to work outdoors in local area.

Responsibilities

• Run a daily route resolving customer pest concerns and issues.
• Maintain truck and equipment in proper working order.
• Keep accurate records of treatments provided.
• Mix, apply, and work with pesticides following state and federal laws.
• Serve as subject matter expert for customers by implementing effective pest solutions.
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards.
• Advise customers of potential problems.
• Keep management informed of problems on service routes.
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides.
• Carry a backpack of supplies (~50 lbs) on route.
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday.
