Job summary

Aptive Environmental is seeking a Pest Control Technician to run daily routes around Valparaiso, IN. You will service customers, operate a company vehicle, and follow safety protocols while applying treatments in accordance with state and federal laws. Training is provided, with bonuses and benefits included.

The position offers a route-based schedule with occasional Saturdays, a company vehicle to take home, and opportunities for advancement within a growing national pest control team.

Qualifications

• No prior pest control experience required; comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily pest control service routes and resolve customer concerns.
• Operate and maintain route vehicles and equipment.
• Keep accurate service records and mix/apply pesticides per state/federal laws.
• Assist customers with pest solutions tailored to individual needs.
• Move through local area routes and adhere to company procedures.
• Report issues to management and manage inventory of pesticides.

This is a full-time Pest Control Technician position located on the road in the area around Valparaiso, IN This position will report to our office in Merrillville/South Bend, IN once per week. The individual we are looking for is also someone that enjoys working in a team environment and excels working at an individual level.

• $19.50 - $23.50 an hour

Responsibilities Include

• Running a daily route where you will be resolving customer pest concerns and issues
• Maintaining truck and equipment in proper working order
• Keeping accurate records of treatments provided
• Mixing, applying, and working with pesticides following state and federal laws
• Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs
• Maintain and service all route customers according to company standards and procedures
• Advance customers of potential problems
• Keep management informed of any problems encountered on service routes
• Maintain proper inventory of pesticides in usage
• Please note that you will be assigned a route in your local area
• Carry a product backpack that weighs approximately 50 lbs
• Work schedule includes every other Saturday

Qualifications

• A US driver’s license that has been valid for a minimum of 3 years is required
• A clean driving record is required (no more than one moving violation in the past year and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 4 years)
• A drug test and background check will be performed on all new hires
