Start your career as a Pest Control Technician in our groundbreaking dual function pest control and fumigation position, supporting all aspects of pest elimination. We offer a comprehensive PAID TRAINING program lasting 7 weeks, designed to equip you with the tools and resources to excel in pest elimination and commercial fumigation. What you will do:

• Work with customers in hospitality and other sectors to identify and solve pest problems
• Stay informed about Ecolab's products and industry trends to improve service and sales
• Manage service documentation using handheld electronic equipment and conduct gas monitoring during fumigations
• Assist with all steps of the fumigation process, including sealing, tarping, fumigant introduction, readings, and aeration
• Follow safety labels and MSDS instructions for hazardous chemicals
• Properly use and maintain PPE
• Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and customer requirements
• Utilize electronic devices for data recording and reporting

Position details:

During your training, you will travel to Ecolab's Headquarters in Saint Paul, Minnesota for 1 week, with the remaining weeks in-field training. All travel expenses are covered. The role requires successful completion of this 7-week training, focusing on fumigation for 2 weeks and pest elimination for 5 weeks.

This is a field-based position that may involve travel to Savannah, Georgia, and surrounding areas, on a Monday-Friday shift schedule.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Two years of work or military experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Must be 18 or older
• Willingness to be on-call and work overnight shifts as needed
• Ability to travel overnight during peak seasons
• Ability to interpret labels and SDS for hazardous chemicals
• Ability to obtain TWIC card, CDL with Hazmat endorsement, and pest/fumigation licenses as required by law
• Background check and drug test required
• Not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Physical demands:

• Use of respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
• Lifting up to 70 pounds
• Work in diverse conditions, including confined spaces, extreme heights, and various environmental conditions
• Perform physical activities such as lifting, climbing, and walking
• Drive company vehicle as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Experience in pest elimination or route work
• Knowledge of chemical labels and proper mixing procedures

Compensation:

$20.27/hour, with factors like experience and location influencing pay. We comply with all wage laws.
