Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Personal Trainer to support members in achieving healthier lives by building relationships and providing education and safe, effective fitness guidance.

You will develop client programs, conduct fitness consultations, supervise sessions, promote training services, complete admin tasks, stay current on certifications, and deliver outstanding service to keep members motivated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of personal training experience.
• Certified personal trainer with CPR and AED certification.
• Knowledge of fitness, cardiovascular training, nutrition and program design.

Responsibilities

• Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive client programs that drive client goal achievement and retention.
• Instructs clients during personal training sessions on safe and effective use of cardio, flexibility, and strength equipment.
• Reads, watches, and engages in required training associated with the role.
• Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, medical history, lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting.
• Provides fitness floor assistance to all members to ensure safety, education, and motivation.
• Promotes and sells personal training programs and services.
• Completes all administrative requirements associated with each client’s fitness plan.
• Remains current on certifications and industry trends.
