Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, seeks an energetic Personal Trainer to join a fitness center in Los Angeles, CA. You will assess clients, design personalized programs, and help them achieve their health goals while providing guidance on proper equipment use.

Role includes opportunities to teach group fitness classes and cover sessions; requirements include a relevant degree or NCCA certification, CPR/First Aid, and knowledge of exercise testing and prescription.

• Requires degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Knowledge of exercise testing and program design, and ability to operate fitness tools.

• Conduct fitness assessments and implement personalized exercise programs to motivate and inspire your clients.
• Establish and maintain a personal training clientele.
• Provide guidance to members on proper use of equipment.
• Remain current on certifications and new trends in the industry.
• This is an excellent opportunity to build a successful portfolio based on your availability. There are additional opportunities to teach group fitness classes and to provide coverage.

What we are looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and prescription (program design), and ability to operate various fitness tools and equipment.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $35. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
