Job summary

Hilb Group in Hartselle, AL is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join our in-office team. You will serve as the primary client relationship manager, handling inquiries, policy changes, billing and endorsements while negotiating renewals to maximize client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in customer service or sales within the P&C insurance industry, strong communication skills, and is proficient with AMS360.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3+ years in customer service and/or sales in P&C insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management.
• Proficient PC skills; AMS360 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business as the primary client relationship manager for servicing and maintenance.
• Handle inquiries regarding coverages, policy changes, and general insurance questions for lines of business.
• Process billing, service and endorsement requests and related paperwork.
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier to ensure mutual benefits.
• Review renewal/expiration lists, obtain updated information, and negotiate renewal pricing when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings.

The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage an assigned book of business acting as the primary client relationship manager with responsibility for overall account servicing and maintenance
• Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business
• Handle billing, service and endorsement requests and process necessary paperwork associated with requested
• Act as liaison between customer and carrier working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship
• Handle renewal/expiration list for assigned book of business, reviewing loss information, obtaining updated information, renewal applications, and negotiating renewal pricing when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of all company systems and offerings

Qualifications

• Minimum High School degree
• 3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p&c insurance industry
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone or email
• Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques
• Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills
• Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360
