Job summary

Johnson Law Group in Houston, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our Personal Injury team. You will assist attorneys through all stages of litigation, from intake to trial, and help with discovery, pleadings, and case management.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years paralegal experience, a certificate or degree, strong knowledge of Texas court rules, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in personal injury litigation.
• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of Texas litigation processes, court rules, and filing procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with case management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive litigation support for personal injury cases from intake through trial.
• Draft, file, and manage legal documents, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Organize, review, and summarize medical records and other case-related documents.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Conduct factual and legal research as needed.
• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner.
