Job summary

Omega Law Group in Houston seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support personal injury litigation. You will draft and file pleadings, manage discovery, and coordinate with clients, experts, and the handling attorney to keep cases moving toward resolution.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in civil litigation, a paralegal certificate or related degree, proficiency with research tools and case management software, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation paralegal experience (pref personal injury)
• Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program or BA in a related discipline
• Proficient with legal research tools and case management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
• Commitment to client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings with accuracy and deadlines
• Propound discovery with proper captions and service proofs
• Communicate with clients to gather information and documents
• Respond to discovery requests and provide substantive responses
• Draft and format other discovery tools and review subpoenas
• Organize and manage case files
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
• Support attorneys during trial with exhibits and witness examination
• Participate in department and team meetings
• Other duties as assigned
