Job summary

Omega Law Group seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support personal injury litigation in Houston. You will draft filings, manage discovery, and coordinate with attorneys, clients, and experts to keep cases moving.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of civil litigation paralegal experience, ABA-approved certification or related degree, and strong research and drafting skills to ensure precise and timely work within a busy practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a civil litigation paralegal, preference for personal injury
• Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Proficient in legal research tools and case management software
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
• Confidentiality in handling client information

Responsibilities

• Draft and file pleadings with accuracy and proper formatting and deadlines
• Propound discovery timely with proper captions and proofs of service
• Communicate with clients to gather information and documents; review files for key facts
• Respond to discovery requests with substantive, well-founded objections when needed
• Draft and format other discovery tools and review subpoenas for limitations
• Organize and manage case files with consistent naming and storage
• Coordinate depositions, hearings, and other events with attorneys and witnesses
• Assist with expert designation and trial preparation, including subpoenas and trial binders
• Support attorneys during trial with exhibits and witness examination
• Perform other duties as assigned
