Job Description
Fuicelli & Lee, P.C., a reputable personal injury law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team onsite. This position plays a key role in supporting our litigation attorneys by handling case management, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting with trial preparation. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and is passionate about helping clients seek justice.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; file motions and pleadings in accordance with court procedures.
Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, and judicial decisions; provide written summaries and analysis to attorneys.
Interview clients and witnesses; prepare detailed summaries of their statements.
Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and pleadings.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness files, and attending trials and hearings.
Maintain accurate and organized case files for easy access to critical information.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of legal terminology, principles, research methods, and court procedures.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Professional demeanor, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related legal software.
Education & Experience
Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program (associate degree, proprietary school program, or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies).
2–4 years of litigation experience in legal services under attorney supervision, preferably in personal injury law.
Demonstrated excellence in case management, drafting, and trial preparation.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $30.00 – $45.00 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
