Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience.
• Knowledge of California civil procedure and filing in state court.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from complaint through trial.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
• Calendar and track court deadlines, hearings, and discovery cutoffs.
• E-file and serve documents in California state court.
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records and bills.
• Schedule depositions, IMEs, and mediations, and coordinate with court reporters and experts.
• Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters.

The Law Offices of Anthony Ellis, PC is a personal injury litigation and trial firm. We represent injured people and their families in California state court, including premises liability, motor vehicle, and wrongful death cases. We prepare our cases for trial from day one.

** The Role**
We're hiring an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys on an active litigation caseload. This is a hands-on role for someone who already knows the PI litigation process and can manage cases with minimal supervision. Please do not apply if you don't meet this requirment.

** What You'll Do**

• Manage litigation files from complaint through trial
• Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Calendar and track court deadlines, hearings, and discovery cut-offs
• E-file and serve documents in California state court
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records and bills
• Schedule depositions, IMEs, and mediations, and coordinate with court reporters and experts
• Prepare deposition, mediation, and trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters

** Requirements**

• ** At least 3 years of personal injury litigation paralegal experience (required)**
• Working knowledge of California civil procedure and state court filing practices
• Strong organization, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software

** Preferred**

• Trial preparation experience
• Paralegal certificate meeting California Business & Professions Code § 6450 requirements
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
