Job summary

Block LLP is seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Assistant to join our growing litigation team in Burbank, CA. This full-time, on-site role supports attorneys through pleadings, discovery, court filings, case deadlines, client communication, and trial preparation.

The position requires strong written and verbal communication, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior paralegal or legal assistant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of paralegal experience or three years as a legal assistant.
• Experience with California civil procedure, court filings, discovery, and calendaring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional and compassionate approach to client communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Burbank.

Responsibilities

• Draft, format, file, and serve pleadings and discovery documents.
• Calendar and monitor court deadlines and hearings.
• Assist with discovery, deposition prep, and trial prep.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and counsel.
• Maintain organized electronic case files.
• Update case information in the case management system.
• Schedule depositions, meetings, and court appearances.
• Provide attentive, professional service to clients.
• Support attorneys with additional tasks as needed.
