Job summary

Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE in Montrose, CO seeks a Personal Caregiver to support elderly participants in home and Day Center settings. This paid role offers part-time hours and a path to meaningful, purpose-driven work within VOA’s PACE program.

Pay ranges from $18.50 to $22.50 per hour based on experience. Part-time schedule is Monday–Friday, 4-hour shifts (20 hours weekly). Benefits include PTO, insurance options, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
• Active CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with non-skilled ADLs in the home and Day Center (bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth care, etc.).
• Support non-skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and Day Center (ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, etc.).
• Assist with IADLs (grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, meal prep, etc.).
• Support Day Center activities, including meal service and cleanup.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring (Requirements)

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
• Active CPR/First Aid Certification
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Assist participants with non-skilled activities of daily living (ADL’s) in the home and in the Day Center including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, hand and foot nail care and toileting as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with non-skilled restorative and supportive care in the home and in the Day Center including ambulating, positioning, transferring, skin care, personal care, etc. as assigned or needed.
• Assists participants with Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL’s) including, but not limited to, grocery shopping, cleaning, changing bed linens, laundry, meal preparation and other routine household care as assigned.
• Assists with participant activities in the Day Center, including meal service and clean-up.
• Performs other duties as required or requested.

About Us Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE (Montrose) provides healthcare and supportive services for individuals age 55 and older, helping them live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes and communities. As a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) provider and the first of its kind in Western Colorado, our interdisciplinary teams deliver personalized, comprehensive care tailored to each participant’s needs.
