Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide essential in-home personal care services. You will follow individualized care plans, document daily tasks, and assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility using walkers and wheelchairs.

Maintain safety and infection control, respect client privacy, and monitor conditions, promptly reporting concerns to supervisors. Some household tasks may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Following individualized care plans and completing daily tasks using electronic documentation systems.
• Assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, meal preparation (including special diets), feeding, oral hygiene, and transfers with equipment like walkers and wheelchairs.
• Ensuring safety protocols, infection control, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Supporting clients with self-help activities and respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
• Monitoring clients' conditions, reporting any concerns or changes to supervisors, and addressing safety or safety hazards promptly.
• Assisting with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping as needed.
• Only assisting with self-administration of medications, never administering directly.
