Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support clients in their homes according to individualized care plans. You will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and dignity in care delivery.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of caregiving experience, strong communication, and the ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 6 months caregiving experience validated via references.
• Strong communication and observational skills are required.
• Ability to read and follow individualized care plans and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and feeding.
• Use equipment like walkers and wheelchairs safely.
• Encourage client independence and self-help.
• Complete daily timesheets via EVV or electronic systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and report hazards or changes in client condition.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights.
• Assist with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping as needed.
• Only support self-administration of medications, never administer medications.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.

• Reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe environments immediately.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or ability to read/write.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.

Supervision & Accountability:

Reports to the Home Care Manager or designated staff regarding client care and staffing issues.
