Job summary

Interim HealthCare of Western Wisconsin in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver for a part-time, on-site role. You’ll support seniors at home with daily living activities, grooming, meals, transportation, and companionship to help them live safely and happily.

The position offers competitive pay, set schedules with 1:1 client ratios, and opportunities to train online, earn CEUs, and pursue education support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and active WI HCA registration.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare role (preferred).
• CPR certification.
• Covid-19 vaccination card.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature; good communicator; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meals and light housekeeping.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients in activities like puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Active WI Home Care Aide (HCA) registration

CPR certification

Covid-19 vaccination card

Valid driver’s license

Six months healthcare experience (preferred)

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
