Personal Care Aide/Caregiver/Home Health Aide

Responsibilities:

• Providing personal health care
• Light housekeeping

Requirements:

• Ability to assist clients with dressing, feeding, hair care, mouth care, shaving (electric or safety razor), nail care (excluding trimming), positioning, toileting, and transfers
• Capable of pushing and pulling clients weighing at least 100 pounds
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Comfortable moving in tight spaces and between furniture
• Physical ability to stand, walk, squat, climb stairs, bend, kneel, twist, sit, reach
• Perform physical tasks continuously for up to an hour without rest

Additional Qualifications:

• Active registration on the Health Care Worker Registry
• Two references
• At least 1 year of experience as a homemaker with supervisory skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Successful background checks
• Completion of IDOA CCP training for Homemaker Supervisor
• Vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work in various client homes
• Excellent communication skills for weekly updates with the branch office
