Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC. is seeking Direct Care Staff to support residents in a safe, respectful home setting in San Luis Obispo & Grover Beach, CA. No experience required; training provided.

40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 8:00AM–4:00PM; driver’s license may be required. You will assist with daytime activities, encourage personal hygiene, document progress, and help plan daily schedules while maintaining a calm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Background check required.
• Some positions require a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and support residents with daytime activities; encourage good personal hygiene and safe behavior.
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Help plan, organize tasks and schedules to promote goal achievement.
• Provide consistent progress notes and documentation.

The Direct Care Staff are responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive environment which ensures the quality living of our clients.

What you'll do:

• Assist, monitor, and teach individual(s) with preparation of daytime activities and encourage good personal hygiene and behavior appropriate in their home or apartment. These activities may include grocery shopping, menu planning, meal preparation, and clean up.
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement for your clients.
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes.

You'd be great if you:

• Experience working with individuals with behaviors IS A PLUS!
• Can problem solve and adapt to different client needs.
• Are a strong communicator and dependable.
• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings

Requirements:

• Able to pass a background check
• Some positions require a driver's license
